The most common and safest dermal filler we use are gel fillers such as, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Voluma, Restylane, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Silk and Beltero. These are Hyaluronic acid fillers commonly called H.A.’s or sugar fillers. Made up of sugar water cross-linked into a gel form. These fillers are a modern day miracle when it comes to aging. Another option in dermal fillers is Radiesse. Radiesse is comprised of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) suspended in a gel carrier and once injected into the skin will help stimulate your body’s own natural collagen. This is our go to filler for a beautiful result in hand treatments.
We also offer Sculptra Aesthetic(poly L-lactic acid). Sculptra is used mostly in clients with severe volume loss or lipoatrophy. It works like a fertilizer for your collagen and will usually take several treatments over a few months for optimal results.
Dermal fillers are used to volumize, fill and lift. Go ahead, look in the mirror at your mid-face. It starts below the mid-pupillary line in most woman and men around 30. The fat pads in your cheeks begin to separate and fall. This can create a hollowing under your eyes and also the shadowing around your nose, or nasolabial folds. Many injectors will only fill the smile line or nasolabial fold and forget about the problem. You cannot just keep putting a band-aid on the issue; you have to treat the problem. This is where mid face rejuvenation can make an incredible difference. In about 30-60 minutes our team can make you look 5 years younger.
Another typical problem area as we age, is the shadowing around our mouths created by the falling lower face or jowls, commonly called the marionette lines. There are several ways to treat this area and it can really make a difference. Treating the jaw line around the chin can help to maintain the natural oval shape to the face.
It is our job to take away the shadows on your face and to recreate the heart-shaped youthful appearance we all desire. The triangle of beauty.
It’s no secret that women fill their lips and often over fill their lips. We are not advocates of super augmented lips, duck lips, or trout pouts. We will use a
combination technique placing the majority of the filler behind the muscle allowing the lip to turn up rather than project out. There are two types of lips, tubular and gull wing. Tubular can never be gull winged and gull winged can never be tubular. Credited to Dr. Mulholland of Canada.
There is a happy medium when it comes to lip injections.
There are many areas on the face and body you can treat with fillers:
- Any wrinkle or line that cannot be reversed with neuro-modulators.
- Tear troughs.
- Nasal sculpting.
- Brow augmentation.
- Cheek augmentation.
- Chin augmentation.
- Oral commissures/corners of mouth and marionette lines (deep folds).
- Jaw line
- Decollete (chest)
We believe, when you can see the lines without making the face, it’s time for a neuro-modulator!!
Neuro-modulators help to smooth, reverse and prevent the lines on your face from becoming permanent. Just look between your brows, do you see a line or crease starting to form? This created by the glabellar muscle pulling in or down when you squint, frown, pout or get angry, a face you won’t miss making. This is the most commonly treated area on the face.
Another commonly treated area is the forehead or frontalis muscle. This muscle is what causes the horizontal lines across your forehead, when you raise your brows. These are the lines that usually show when your makeup or powder collects in the creases. What you don’t want is for those lines or wrinkles to become permanent. Although Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are very effective when it comes to reversing wrinkles, sometimes if the line is too deep, a combination treatment with dermal fillers is recommended.
A popular area for injections is around the eyes, what we generally call “crows feet”. Eyes show the most obvious signs of aging. Treating the area around eyes is painless and with a little ice, you won’t feel a thing. Several small superficial injections are made into the obicularis oculi muscle around the outside corner of each eye. I taper down the units as I move around to the midline of the pupil, maintaining the natural curvature of your smile and cheek. If desired, you can also receive a nice brow lift with this treatment.
There are several other problem areas that can be treated with Botox, Dysport or Xeomin:
- Hyperhydrosis, extensive sweating under your arms, hands and soles; can be treated with results lasting up to 9 months.
- Platysma bands under the neck can be treated and the result is a beautiful lift of the nephritides/neck.
- Masseter muscle for TMJ, or those who hold tension in there jaw.
- Headaches and Migraines.
- Horizontal line or sagging skin across the top of the bridge of your nose or lower between your brows.
- Vertical lip lines caused by pursing your lips.
- Down turned mouth.
- Gummy smiles.
- Bunny lines on the sides of your nose.
- Turn up the tip of your nose.
- Turn up the top lip.
- Chin creases or cobblestone chin.
