Brotox: The Rise of Male Interest in Anti-Aging

My motto for women is, “look good, feel good, to do good”, and for men, “DO good to feel good and they don’t care how they look”, OR DO THEY????
“BROTOX”, more and more people are beginning to recognize this term used to name Botox treatments for men. A new study in the journal Cosmetic Dermatology shows that the number of American men getting Botox injections has skyrocketed 258 percent over the past decade.

The lead study author, Whitney Bowe, MD, states that, “men feel increasingly pressured to maintain a more attractive and youthful look in a highly competitive job market.” An increased value on the emphasis of youth in the workforce is steering many men into trying Botox to prevent aging. This finding paired with the availability of easy outpatient treatments and a wider cultural acceptance of cosmetic procedures have made many more men interested in anti-aging procedures. The Today Show also recently discussed how men are the fastest growing demographic undergoing plastic surgery. Just like most women will say, men who undergo cosmetic surgery or treatments also say that they helped them feel more confident.
