BOTOX

BOTOX

BOTOX is considered the “gold standard” in neuromodulators, and many, many of our clients rely on regular injections to stay looking young and fresh. The active ingredient in BOTOX affects the nerve signals that cause constant muscle motions, leading to “dynamic wrinkles,” which form on the forehead, between the brows when you concentrate or frown, and around the delicate skin at the eyes. The injections require four to seven days to produce a result.

Daxxify

Daxxify

Fine lines, wrinkles, and other mild to moderate signs that the early facial aging process has started to take place can be a frustrating reality. If you’re noticing that your youthful glow doesn’t seem quite as present when you look in the mirror each day, however, you’re absolutely not alone. Some of our most trusted patients have come to us looking for simple solutions to life’s most common cosmetic concerns, and they keep coming back, thanks to our ability to continue providing exciting results with minimal downtimes and brief recovery periods.

Dysport

Dysport

Dysport is another neuromodulator, slightly different from Botox. It is a slightly different formula, and acts faster than BOTOX. If you are planning to attend a social event and want to look your best, you may not have time to wait, and need a faster-acting wrinkle relaxer, Dysport could be perfect for you, as it works it’s skin-smoothing magic in just two to five days. It is a thinner formula which diffuses more easily and works wonders on people with deep forehead creases. Dysport is usually our go-to wrinkle relaxer for men.

Jeuveau

Jeuveau

The “new kid on the block,” or #NEWTOX, Jeuveau from Evolus was FDA-approved in February 2019, and is considered a luxury wrinkle relaxer. This formula was developed with a state-of-the-art process, called Hi-Pure Technology. The active ingredient, or toxin, is purified and dried differently than other neuromodulators, which does not damage the protein that creates the smoothing effect. We have seen remarkable results with this product, and many clients tell us it seems to work faster, and last longer.

Xeomin

Xeomin

Another excellent wrinkle relaxing injectable, Xeomin was developed in a purer form, and does not include certain proteins found in BOTOX. You are less likely to develop a resistance to Xeomin, and the effects are just as powerful as BOTOX and Dysport.

Which wrinkle relaxer is best for me?

Each product, whether BOTOX, Xeomin, Dysport, or Jeuveau, works slightly differently, so choosing the “best” product will be based upon what you are trying to achieve. For example, if you want a faster result, you may want to try Dysport or Jeuveau. If you have deep forehead lines, you may get a better result with BOTOX. Some people get better results with Xeomin, as they have built up a resistance to the proteins in the other products. When we work with you we will carefully evaluate your skin condition and determine the best way to smooth away those frown lines, brow creases, and crow’s feet.

What does it mean if my BOTOX injections aren’t working like they did before?

Some people develop antibodies to the proteins in BOTOX, which make it less effective. In these cases, switching to Xeomin, which is completely pure, without the added proteins, could resolve the issue.

Why would you choose Dysport as a wrinkle relaxer?

For a quick onset, you want a product that will diffuse more thoroughly on the forehead faster. The thinner formula of Dysport can often achieve a nicer, more even result for certain clients. Everyone is different, and we promise to guide you in the right direction, based upon your skin type and the number of wrinkles you want to smooth away.

How long should a Neuromodulator treatment last?

Different strokes for different folks. It all depends on your body’s metabolism. On label, products state a duration of 3 to 4 months with recommended dose per treatment area. Some areas last longer than others.

Is there any downtime after a neuromodulator treatment?

We direct patients to avoid strenuous exercise for the rest of the day after their treatment.

What other non-common areas can neuromodulators treat that one may not know?

Excess sweating (hands, feet, armpits, and scalp), migraines, TMJ, jelly roll (fat pads under eyes), sagging brows, platysmal band (neck), micro BOTOX, and gummy smile.
